This car was the one that really made me fall in love with VWs. It was my dads when I was growing up and I still remember how excited I was watching the eBay listing count down praying no one would out bid us. Hard to believe that moment is what started my love of cars. I’ve had many good memories with this buggy. For example I remember I just got my drivers license and Funfest had the slow speed race and I begged my dad to let me do and he finally agreed and told me that I hit even one cone I’d never be able to drive it again. And even though I didn’t win I still didn’t hit one cone. But last year the car and me made a bad memory unfortunately she got ran off the road by a distracted driver and totaled out the original frame. But not all good things come to an end thanks to the amazing VW community around me I’m able to start rebuilding her.
